About Us

Just Briefly

From 1829 a group of Baptists met in three cottages in Upper Studley, in 1850 the present chapel was built and the cottages given up. The money for this was provided by Samuel Salter the prominent weaving mill owner in Trowbridge.

We are members of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and engage enthusiastically with the Trowbridge CATA group.

Today we are a small and friendly group of joyful Christians exploring and developing a living faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. We set few limits to our worship and seek to build the joy of God’s love in to all our works. Together we seek to maximise a positive impact in God’s world both in our local community and in the wider world. We engage joyfully with other Christians and enjoy welcoming new visitors to our church.
